We wanted to have the opinion of the audience before we began the production of a new film and therefore we created an online questionnaire in which the plot was available for them to read and then give feedback on it.
The questions that were asked were:
How old are you?- We asked this to demonstrate our target audience and identify what age category best responded to the new plot.
Occupation?-Brief understanding of our audiences lifestyle
What genre of film do you like?-To identify whether our genre was appropriate
What do you think of the Plot?- Want opinions from the audience
Do you think it is unique? Why?- We wanted to create something new
What could be improved?- Wanted to identify any faults before the production
Would you watch the film if produced?- We wanted to know the success our short film would receive and if we had a potential audience for the short film.
What genre do you think the film is?- We wanted to know what genre they thought it was to ensure we conformed to the conventions of the particular genre.
What would you expect to see within this film?- Iconography
What would you expect the character Vera to look like?- To ensure we translated their thoughts of what the character could look like.
What would you expect her alter ego to look like?- To ensure we depict the alter ego effectively
Do you think the technology aspect to the tapes is understandable?- To ensure the most vital part of the plot was understandable
Do you think the murders/rapes she receives should be on cassette tapes?- We wanted to know suggestions of other ways in which this could be presented as cassette tapes are outdated.
Do you think Playback is a suitable title for the film?- To ensure that we have selected an appropriate title.
Can you offer a title for the film?- We feel it is important to gain the audiences personal thoughts and include them in the process of our production.
