Today we found another location for our short film. The location is an old car park with a high raised roof which will be the location for one of the Playback scenes. Within the Playback it is a chase scene shot in a point of view perspective. We wanted an old building with a roof as at the end of the clip, the assassin plummets to his death but we also wanted an old decrepit looking building due to the content of our film. The clips are illegal and therefore we wanted an abandoned looking place with no other people around in order to create a sleazy effect. The parts of the city the protagonist distributes her clips is within the slums of the city where it is run down and to create this we selected the less developed part of our area. Upon visiting the location we found a stairwell with sharp corners which will allow us to film some interesting shots and will add to the suspense during the chase scene. There was also fluorescent lights which will allow us to film in the evening and will create a lighting that is sinister and adds to the content of the film. The stairwell leads to the roof of the car park, however, as we want to shoot in the evening we need to schedule filming around the closing times of the car park and to carry out the necessary risk assessments. In order to have suitable lighting within these scenes we have decided to use car headlights to provide the necessary lighting. 

Within the car park building there is a lift which the female victim will escape to the roof in. This will allow us to create a suspenseful scene as the audience will wonder if she escapes or not.  The stairwells are whitewashed and basic to indicate that the area is rundown. As all the stair wells look the same, it will beneficial for us during the editing process as we can use scenes that have been shot on the same stair well without it effecting the continuity.
