Levi Strauss
Strauss explored the ways in which conflict builds a storyline, particular surrounding binary positions. Strauss advocated that binary oppositions are necessary for the conflict within a narrative, for example a binary opposition can be seen between good and evil, often the protagonist and antagonist. Juxtapositions are often created via binary oppositions as it becomes essential to the plot. Within our film there is a binary opposition between good and evil but we will subvert the common ideology that the good character is purely good.
