Today we held a group meeting as we all felt that the story line would be hard to fit into the full five minutes. We discussed the script and collectively decided on which scenes we wanted to feature in our short film and which scenes we would delete in order to successfully meet the criteria of our project. Within the script there is a nightclub scene which we have decided to delete as it is not key to the story line and allows us more time to focus on the other scenes. In order to effectively estimate the time each scene will take, we acted out the script and allowed the necessary time for the actions to take place. This will benefit our production as we will be more organised during filming and the editing process will be much easier as we have a well thought out structure for our short film.
Our short film can now be allocated into brief bullet points. The bullet points are as follows:
- Title Sequence, Vera talks to customers about the illegal Playback tapes
- Two customers view their tapes
- Vera distributes her clips to various customers
- Vera meets supplier, discusses clip, watches it
- The clip footage is being viewed by Vera
- Vera Walks away
- Vera walks down the underpass and is ambushed by a wire tripper
- Vera Pushes him off and Henchman approach her, he walks past
- Vera is at home, she puts up a photo of dictator whilst Radio is playing
- Knock at the door, it is Henchman asking about the photo,they leave
- Another Knock at the door, there is a package
- Picks up package sits down and watches three of them
- Transitions to different character, asks to meet actress
- Film set is revealed
